Saving Koalas

Sam’s love for Koalas started from an early age growing up on his parent’s farm. Aware of the growing threats to the now endangered Koala, Sam and his family made an effort to contribute to their conservation.

Starting over 25 years ago, they have planted a variety of Koala food trees and rainforest species, initiating a labor of love to restore the riparian areas of their beloved farm. The family pursue a goal of providing a refuge free of predators where koalas can thrive and raise their young.

These experiences have ingrained in Sam a respect for nature's delicate balance and a keen eye for its intricate beauty

Protect the forest homes of our Aussie wildlife

"Our native forests are home to some of the most unique wildlife and plants on Earth, but the Australian bush has never been under more pressure. An estimated 500,000 hectares of native forests and woodlands are bulldozed every year.

Bushfire seasons can be catastrophic, with the 2019-20 fires alone burning 12.6 million hectares of forest and bushland. Without urgent action, an estimated 750 million native animals who rely on trees for survival will die by 2030.

In New South Wales and Queensland, habitat destruction  is so severe, 42% of koalas have disappeared in the last 20 years, meaning they risk extinction across the east coast of Australia. Habitat destruction also accounts for around 15% of total global emissions, a dangerous contributor to climate change."
